Looking for BMW G-Series key programming in Sydney? Flying Dragon Car Key programs G-chassis keys at your car — home, work or roadside — whether you need a spare key added or you’ve lost all keys. BMW’s G-series security system must be handled correctly to avoid lockouts, failed programming sessions, or an unnecessary tow to the dealer. Open 10am–10pm, 7 days. Call 0478 888 673.
We cover most G-series models — 3 Series (G20), 5 Series (G30), X3 (G01), X5 (G05), X6 (G06), 7 Series (G11/G12), 8 Series (G14–G16) and more — depending on key type and security generation.
Add a spare key vs. all keys lost
Add Key (you still have one working key). This is the fastest and cheapest path. We use your existing key to authorise a new one, cut and programmed next to the car — usually within the hour.
All Keys Lost (AKL — zero working keys). This is a very different job on a G-chassis BMW. Whether it can be done on-site depends on the car’s security generation, which is why we confirm your model and year on the phone before we come out.
DBC01 / DBC02 / BDC03 — what your BMW’s security generation means
BMW G-series vehicles fall under different security generations. In workshop terms you’ll hear DBC01 / DBC02 / BDC03. What matters to you is what can be done at your car:
| Security generation | Spare key (Add Key) | All keys lost (AKL) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| DBC01 | ✅ Yes (most cases) | ⚠️ Case-by-case | Depends on configuration and key slot status |
| DBC02 | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes | Best on-site coverage for both Add Key and AKL |
| BDC03 | ✅ Yes | ❌ Add Key only | AKL not currently a standard on-site service |
Not sure which generation your car is? Tell us the model and build year when you call — we’ll confirm capability before you spend a cent.

How on-site G-chassis programming works
- You call with your model, year and situation (spare vs. all keys lost)
- We confirm the security generation and quote a fixed range
- We come to the car with G-chassis-capable programming equipment
- Key is cut, programmed and tested in front of you — typically 45–90 minutes
What a typical callout looks like
A common job for us: a G20 3 Series owner wants a spare key because the car came from the dealer with only one. We meet them at home, authorise the new key off the working one, and they have two working keys before their coffee goes cold. All-keys-lost jobs take longer — expect a security check (ID and proof of ownership), then programming on-site where the generation allows it.
The deep end of BMW work is where we chose to specialise
Every BMW platform raised the security bar — CAS, then FEM and BDC — and the G-series sits at the top of that ladder, which is exactly why we built our capability around it. Flying Dragon Car Key treats German brands as a core focus rather than an occasional job: the dealer-level diagnostics, the module-level data reading and the pattern knowledge from real G-series callouts are all there for precisely this class of work. That focus is what lets us tell you up front whether your chassis is a straightforward add-key or a bigger job, and then complete the work at the kerb. For the full story of our German-brand focus, see our European car key specialist service.
FAQ
Can you program a used BMW key from another car?
Generally no — G-series keys lock to the original vehicle. A new key is required, which we supply, cut and program.
Do I need to tow the car to a dealer for all keys lost?
Not always. DBC02 cars can usually be done at the kerb. BDC03 all-keys-lost is the main case where the dealer is still the right answer — we’ll tell you honestly on the phone.
Do you service my suburb?
We’re mobile across all of Sydney, including Chatswood, Manly, Bondi, Mascot, Burwood, Sydney Olympic Park, Bankstown, Liverpool, Eastwood, Parramatta, Hurstville, Blacktown and Cabramatta.
