Programming depends on the Q3’s generation and equipment

Q3 key systems vary by vehicle generation and specification. Tell us whether your car uses a key in the ignition or push-button start; the model name alone is not enough to confirm the programming route.

The immobiliser determines whether a key is authorised to start the vehicle. SFD protects access to certain diagnostic functions, and component protection is a separate security function. Obtaining diagnostic access does not, by itself, program a key.
